British PM reacts to soldier’s murder

London Mayor Boris Johnson is advising residents to remain calm, saying a shockingly gruesome attack in the city was an isolated incident.

A British soldier was butchered to death in broad daylight by two men, who remained on scene and were then shot and wounded by police.

The pair remain under arrest in hospital, where one is in serious condition. 

British Prime Minister David Cameron calls it “an appalling murder” and says there are strong indications it was an act of terrorism. 

Meanwhile, a British government official says both suspects  were part of previous security services investigations for possible terror links.
