Brantford, Waterloo police lay new charges against Cambridge man in child exploitation case

Brantford and Waterloo police have laid additional charges against a Cambridge man as part of an ongoing child exploitation and sexual assault investigation.

Officers arrested 36-year-old Justin Garzon on Aug. 20 after a joint investigation with the RCMP, Peel police and Interpol.

At that time, he was charged with over 20 sexual offences, many against children. More survivors have come forward since then, and more charges have been laid.

Waterloo police have added the following charges:

  • Assault
  • Sexual assault
  • Assault causing bodily harm (strangulation)
  • Uttering threats to cause death
  • Voyeurism
  • Distributing intimate images without consent

Brantford police have also charged Garzon with sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm.

Authorities believe there may be more adult and child victims across the region.
