88-year-old Port Colborne man arrested in connection with alleged sexual assault

Niagara police have arrested an 88-year-old man for an alleged sexual assault Thursday afternoon in Port Colborne.

At approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to the area of King and Division streets for a sexual assault, resulting in Biagio Crognale of Port Colborne being arrested a day later.

Authorities say Crognale is known to drive a white Kia Sorento.

Detectives are requesting that businesses and residents in the area review any surveillance footage at the time of the incident.
