A Canadian insurance provider has released some statistics on the safest – and most dangerous – cities for driving in Ontario.
MyChoice released their numbers Tuesday morning, using data collected from more than 150,000 car insurance quotes, including accident and infraction records.
This study comes after OPP said 2023 was the deadliest year in terms of car collision-related deaths on Ontario highways in 15 years.
Based on this new data, Toronto is the safest city to drive in in the province, despite the continuous construction and traffic.
Also on the top 10 list of safest cities to drive were East York, North York, Whitby and Scarborough.
When it comes to unsafe roads, the GTHA was a common denominator.
Brantford was ranked the most dangerous to drive in, with MyChoice citing the high accident and infraction rates in the city.
Kingston, Burlington, Brampton, and Hamilton were also named high-risk for Ontario drivers.
