Blood was found inside and outside Tim Bosma’s truck when investigators were able to get inside and examine every surface. That was some of the evidence a jury heard today, as the first degree murder trial continues in Hamilton.

At the beginning of the day the court heard more of the cell phone evidence, the evidence that leads them to believe Dellen Millard and Mark Smich are the ones who arranged to test drive Tim Bosma’s truck and then killed him.

A map shows cell phone use on May 6, 2013, the day Tim Bosma went missing. That morning, Dellen Millard was using his phone near his home in Etobicoke. Another phone used in the same area was a pre-paid phone bought under the fake name Lucas Bate. Prosecutors believe Dellen Millard was using that phone too and cell towers showed that phone communicated with Tim Bosma before 7:30 in the morning.

That evening, Dellen Millard’s phone is used in Oakville, near two homes used by Mark Smich, Smich also uses his phone during this time. Before 9pm, the Smich phone, the Millard phone and the so-called bate phone all move toward Tim Bosma’s house in Ancaster. Later that night Millards phone moves off to the areas of his farm in Ayr and his hangar at the Waterloo airport.

Court also heard from officers who examined the trailer found in Dellen Millard’s mother’s driveway, it held Tim Bosma’s truck. The truck interior had been stripped but investigators still found blood and fingerprints, inside and out.

The court is on a break until Tuesday after Family day, and then we’ll hear more about 666 photos the officer took in her examination of the truck and trailer.
