Baby found in back of vehicle in Toronto’s east end dies in hospital: police

Toronto police say a baby found without vital signs in the back of a vehicle in the city’s east end on Monday has died in hospital.

Police say they responded to a call in the area of Jones Avenue and Queen Street just before 5 p.m.

They say a baby was found inside a vehicle unresponsive and emergency officials performed life-saving measures.

Police say the baby was taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

They say the baby’s cause of death will be determined by a coroner.

Police say no charges have been laid at this time.
