A man has been charged with assault in a road rage incident in Ancaster, police say.

Hamilton Police were called to the area of Wilson St. W and Fiddlers Green Rd, around 11 a.m. on Sunday Sept. 13.

There was a road rage incident and the drivers pulled into a nearby plaza. The two got out of their vehicles and an altercation took place.

Police say a 73-year-old man was thrown to the ground and assaulted.

Omar Strickland, 56, has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
