Arrest warrants in Niagara murder

Police believe 2 murder suspects from Hamilton are on the run in an SUV with a child inside. A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for cousins, Jasmine and Richard Doxtator.

The pair are the prime suspects in the murder of 70-year old Joe Caputo of Niagara Falls. Police believe they’re travelling in a silver 2000 Nissan Xterra with Ontario licence plate BAZF 375 and police have a warning for the public.

“We want to caution the public if they do learn of the whereabouts of Jasmine or Richard Doxtator or observe the vehicle, they are to contact the police immediately and not to approach the vehicle.”

Jasmine and Richard are from Hamilton, they have family in the area and police believe they’ve been on the run since Friday morning. “We also believe they’re in the company of 2 persons not related the investigation and 1 of those being a child.”

Joe Caputo’s body was found inside his Portage road apartment around 10 Friday morning. A funeral mass for Joe Caputo will be held on Friday.
