Annabelle: Creation

The Conjuring franchise gets a fourth instalment with Annabelle: Creation. The horror film is directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out) and premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June. It stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Anthony LaPaglia, and Miranda Otto.
In “Annabelle: Creation,” several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a doll maker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. They soon become the target of the doll maker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
In an interview with ComingSoon.net Sandberg talked about his experience shooting a horror film with child actors. “It’s funny. You hear people say, “Never work with animals or kids.” I used to think that that was about kids sucking as actors. But that’s not the case, at least not with any of the kids I’ve worked with. They’re all fantastic actors and they’re so dedicated. They show up on time. They know all the lines. They’re super professional. The only drawback and the real reason not to work with them is the hours. You only get a set amount of hours. Once you reach that time, it’s over. The kid’s out. When you work with an adult, you keep going with a scene until you’re done with it. So that’s kind of stressful in working with a child actor.”
Annabelle: Creation is rated 14A.
