A mansion in Mississauga goes up for auction this Sunday

A homeowner could no longer afford the monthly mortgage payments on a 10 000 square foot estate in Mississauga, and now it could go for about half its value in an auction this Sunday.

The home is located at 1945 Mississauga Road. It overlooks the Mississauga Golf and Country Club. The estate features five bedrooms with ensuite washrooms and the master bedroom has a separate area with a fireplace. The kitchen features granite countertops and top of the line appliances. The home also has a second kitchen in the finished basement, a steam room and a sauna, and an in-ground pool.

Ritchies auctioneers says the bidding is expected to start under $3 million, even though the home is valued at about $5 million. This auction also includes $2 million worth of diamonds and an extended wheel base Rolls Royce Phantom sedan, which retails at about $700 000 new.
