78 pounds of marijuana seized at Peace Bridge after alleged wrong turn

American border officers arrested a man in a rental truck carrying 78 pounds of marijuana who says he was “unknowingly” directed onto the Peace Bridge in Buffalo.
American citizen Ronald Nunn, 43, alleges he was being navigated by his phone when he made a wrong turn that led him to the Canadian border on June 15.
Nunn says he immediately turned around to return to the United States after making the wrong turn.
The man told the border officer the truck was empty but several boxes were later discovered in the back of the truck.
A total of three cardboard boxes were seized with 60 vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana, which was worth an estimated total street value of $230,000.
Nunn and the cannabis were turned over to the Buffalo Police Department and they are expected to pursue felony charges.
