Police appeal for footage after Pelham resident dies following bicycle-truck collision

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a truck involved in a collision with a bicycle last week that resulted in the death of a 53-year old Pelham resident three days later.

Police are appealing for video or surveillance footage from Aug. 12 of a white Dodge Ram pickup between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Welland Road, between Effingham and Haist streets in Pelham near Welland.

The bike involved in the incident was a women’s brand-name ‘giant’ silver hybrid.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Niagara police or Crime Stoppers of Niagara.
