70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Italy

A special mass was held in Hamilton this morning to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy.

Today marks the day of a partisan uprising against the Nazis and their fascist allies near the end of World War II.

Former Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina and members from the Canadian Armed Forces attended the mass at Saint Anthony of Padua church.

Those who died were remembered at the mass.
