6 arrested in Halton region sex trafficking operation

Halton police have arrested and charged six people for seeking sexual services from girls under the age of 18.
During the week of May 2 to May 6, Halton police’s Human Trafficking Unit commenced “Project Embark.”
Police say during the investigation, several suspects arranged meetings for sexual services despite being advised that they were communicating with a girl who was only 16-years-of-age.
As a result of the project, police arrested six people. Due to the nature of the investigation, police say they will not be releasing names of the accused at this time.
