Niagara police have arrested five people and laid 78 charges in connection to a shooting investigation that began in September.
On Sept. 24, police responded to a shooting that took place on South Service Road near Kelson Avenue North in Grimsby.
Detectives continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting in the weeks that followed. As part of that investigation, police executed a search warrant at a house in Hamilton near Wentworth and Cannon Streets on Oct. 17.
During the search, officers seized several guns, ammunition, fentanyl, crack cocaine, and a sum of money.
The following people have been arrested and are facing a total of 78 charges relating to the shooting, possession of unauthorized weapons, and drug trafficking:
