The 55th annual Consumer Electronics Show is underway in Las Vegas, which looks to the near future of technology.

Tech expert Marc Saltzman joined Bob Cowan on Morning Live with five electronics to look out for this new year.

LG’s 97-Inch G2 Series OLED TV

The first electronic Saltzman mentioned will be released this year is the 97-inch G2 Series OLED TV.

He said this is the world’s first 97-inch OLED TV, which “offers unprecedented contrast levels, rich colours, thin design and more.”

LG also revealed its “Objet” TV, which can be partially or completely covered in fabric when not in use.

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3

If you are a multitasker, Saltzman said this new laptop by Lenovo is for you.

This is the first 17.3-inch ultra-wide laptop with an eight-inch secondary display to the right of the keyboard.

For example, you can be on a Zoom call on the main screen but jot down notes with a digital pen on the smaller display.

This laptop is expected to be available this summer.

Moen Smart Faucet with Motion Control

The popularity of smart faucets that allow you to start and stop the flow of water with the wave of a hand are on the rise.

But now you can also control the temperature using gestures in the air with the new Moen smart faucet.

You can talk to it via a smart speaker to ask for a specific amount of water as well.

Philips Sonicare Power Flosser

It’s the one thing most people lie about at the dentist– flossing.

This handheld device has proprietary quad stream technology that sprays water in an “X” shape to cover more areas of the tooth.

With this new power flosser by Philips, you’ll have no excuse not to floss.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV

The final product Saltzman shared is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV.

General Motors CEO Mary Barra unveiled this all-electric pick-up truck on Wednesday.

It has a range of up to 640km on a single charge and supports “SuperCruise,” which is the industry’s first true hands-free driver-assistance technology.
