37-year-old charged after stolen property recovered in Norfolk County

A 37-year-old man has been arrested after a stolen flatbed trailer and skid-steer were recovered in Norfolk County.

Norfolk County OPP say the items were originally stolen on Feb. 25 from a storage unit at an address on Grigg Drive in Simcoe.

The suspect forcefully entered the storage unit and stole a black 2011 Miska flatbed trailer and a white and orange Bobcat MT85 skid-steer loader, as well as some video surveillance equipment.

An investigation led to the arrest of Kyle Scott, 37, of Norfolk County. He’s charged with the possession of stolen property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Scott is scheduled to appear in court in Simcoe on April 9.

The investigation is ongoing, although the trailer and skid-steer have been recovered.
