30-year-old Scarborough woman arrested in relation to 2022 Fort Erie shooting

Niagara police have arrested a 30-year-old woman from Scarborough in connection with a shooting that happened in Fort Erie in October 2022.

Officers responded just before 11 a.m. on Oct. 25, 2022 to a shooting in the area of Village Creek Drive between Old Mill Road and Ott Road.

A man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds but was taken to hospital and listed in stable condition.

Niagara officers coordinated with the Toronto Police Service on December 5 to locate and arrest Hasti Haghdoost of Scarborough.

She is charged with criminal harassment, mischief, and accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence.

Haghdoost was transported from Scarborough to Niagara where she remains in custody pending a bail hearing at a later date.

Police previously arrested 30-year-old Aynla Mustafa Hassan of North York on Dec. 29, 2022.

Hassan faced a slew of charges including attempted murder while using certain firearms, aggravated assault and failure to comply with a release order.
