A fire at an animal sanctuary near Fort Erie, Ont. has killed more than two dozen cats.
An adoption event Happy Days Sanctuary in Stevensville was posted on its Facebook page Dec. 6.
Now, they’re reaching out for help paying for emergency veterinary care for 12 cats that were rescued.
The fire is believed to have started in a utility room in a house on the sanctuary grounds.
On their post, Happy Days Sanctuary says their team is “devastated” saying their focus is on the cats who survived.
They have a donation page on the Canada Helps website.
