Police say three more survivors have come forward in the case of a former Burlington elementary school teacher who allegedly sexually assaulted students between 1983 and 1987.

Investigators first arrested and charged 85-year-old Barbara Baxter on Feb. 15 after the first male survivor filed a report in June 2022 saying he was sexually assaulted by a teacher between 1982-83 when he was in Grade 8 at Pineland Public School.

Another male survivor came forward to police in February alleging he was also sexually assaulted by the same teacher between 1983-84 when he was in Grade 8 at Pineland Public School.

Baxter was charged with sexual assault and acts of gross indecency, and released on an undertaking.
