25-year-old charged in death of baby in Port Dover: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says a 25-year-old has been charged with the death of a three-month-old baby.

During the early morning hours of March 28, 2021, emergency crews responded to a medical incident involving a baby on Sunning Hill Dr. in Port Dover.

Police say the infant was pronounced dead in hospital.

On Tuesday, nearly a year after the child’s death, police arrested Gerrod Young, of Norfolk County.

Young has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the baby’s death.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
