Two people died following an explosion at a fireworks warehouse in Quebec.
The initial blast, just before 9am, destroyed B.E.M. Fireworks.
A plume of thick, dark smoke rose from the rubble nearly Valleyfield, roughly 60 kilometres southwest of Montreal.
The smoke could be seen and vibrations could be felt for kilometres.
Closure of the adjacent highway caused a traffic jam.
Surrounding neighbourhoods and a campground were evacuated.
No word on the cause.
