2 large dogs attack and injure Niagara boy who was on front porch

Police were called to a home in Niagara Falls on the weekend after two large dogs randomly attacked and injured a young boy who was on his front porch with family members.

The incident happened in the area of Beaverdams Road and Hodgson Avenue on Saturday.

The dogs, believed to be pit bulls, came at the boy from an unknown direction.

The child’s father was able to get him away from the animals. The dogs then ran off and have yet to be located.

Niagara police treated a laceration on the boy’s leg before he was transported an out-of-region hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
