14-year-old girl in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Hamilton

UPDATE

A 14-year-old girl was rushed to hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Hamilton Wednesday afternoon.

Hamilton police say the teen was crossing Dundurn St. at Main St. East around 2:30 p.m. when she was struck by a 2016 Hyundai being driven by a 49-year-old Hamilton man.

The girl was transported to McMaster Children’s Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police say the driver is cooperating with investigators.

The collision reconstruction unit has taken over the investigation.
