100 ill after eating at CNE

Epic Burger, the creator of the now-notorious cronut burger, is speaking out Thursday night about its food safety practices.

Toronto Public Health has received nearly a hundred complaints of illness from those eating at the Canadian National Exhibition. And while it’s still unclear which food is the source of the problem, officials are focusing on Epic Burger.

It had passed inspection last Friday, and the burger stand says they’ve never had any problems in the past.

Epic Burger is keeping their booth closed, while health officials investigate.
