Police confirm Ernie Sitter was murdered

Hamilton Police have confirmed the man found dead in an east end apartment Thursday was murdered. It’s the city’s third homicide of the new year.

An autopsy confirmed that 57 year old Ernie Sitter was murdered. It showed he died of blunt force trauma. Sitter’s body was discovered in his King Street apartment on Thursday night. Family members say Sitter was retired and had lived in the apartment for about 8 years. Police are still looking for  witnesses.
