An Ancaster man in legal limbo in St. Lucia wants the Canadian government to help him come home while he waits for trial.
Sahab Jamshidi, 34, is accused of gross negligence in the drowning death of a 4-year-old boy back in March, who the medical school graduate says he found floating in the water and tried to help.
Jamshidi’s next court date is October 19th, but the island’s courthouse has been mostly shut down this summer for renovations, with asbestos causing problems.
Jamshidi wants Canada to assure St. Lucia he’ll return for future court dates so he can carry on with his medical studies in the meantime.
