Police are searching for a man suspected of attempting to rob a convenience store on Upper James Street in Hamilton.

On September 27 at around 4:10 p.m., a male walked into the Blue Willow Variety story, implied he had a gun and demanded cash from the register. The victim said they saw the butt of a gun in the suspect’s waistband.

The suspect was interrupted by a customer and fled the scene empty handed.

The suspect was described as a white male, in his early 30’s, 5’8″ to 5’10″, with a medium build. He was wearing a red “UFC” hat, a grey sweatshirt with the word “Muskoka” on the front, blue jeans, and running shoes.
