Over 500 trees planted on Hamilton Escarpment

Environment Hamilton, Hamilton Naturalists’ Club and the City of Hamilton partnered to plant over 500 trees along the escarpment edge on Mountain Brow Blvd near the Mohawk 4 Ice Centre.

50 volunteers were also on hand for the planting, done to continue the “Trees Please” initiative that aims to improve the city’s air quality and maintain Hamilton’s urban forest.

All of the trees planted were native species, including White Pine and Red Oak.
