Study of MS treatment
The most popular treatment for Multiple Sclerosis may not stop the disease from progressing.
A study out of the University of British Columbia measured how long it took for patients on interferon beta drugs to experience a decline in their symptoms, and compared them to patients not using the medication.
Researchers found no evidence that the drugs helped slow the progression of the disease.
They say this study makes them question whether the drugs should be so widely used.
