Driver caught going 212km on QEW

A 28 year old, Hamilton man has been charged after going 212 kilometres on the QEW around 7:30 Wednesday evening.

He was stopped near Highway 406. The driver was charged with speeding and stunt driving.

His licence has been suspended for 7 days and his car impounded.

Because he was going 112 kilometres over the speed limit, if convicted, he faces
– 6 demerit points
– 1 year driving suspension
– Maximum $10 thousand dollar fine
– 6 month jail sentence
