
Vitamin D and teenagers
Vitamin D has been shown to help improve cognitive function in adults… but it might not do the same for teens.
Researchers followed three-thousand kids from age nine through age 16.
By measuring their vitamin D levels, they found the vitamin was not associated with better academic achievement.
In fact, higher levels of plant-sourced vitamin D were linked to poorer grades in kids aged 15 to 16.
