Pseudo seizures

New research shows many patients who experience seizures are misdiagnosed with epilepsy.

Johns Hopkins researchers say more than one-third of patients admitted to the hospital for treatment of seizures actually have a stress disorder and not epilepsy.

Since these patients don’t have an actual neurological issue, anti-seizure medications fail to treat their symptoms.
