Ontario Provincial Police says two impaired drivers have been charged in separate incidents where young children were inside the vehicle.
Police say a concerned citizen called 9-1-1 on Thursday afternoon to report an impaired driver had just left a Port Dover address.
Officers pulled the vehicle over in Simcoe and discovered two young children were inside the vehicle.
A 39-year-old Norfolk County woman was charged with driving over the legal limit. She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt posted a tweet early Monday morning saying a 35-year-old Brampton man was charged with both stunt driving and impaired driving while two kids, aged 4 and 7, where inside the vehicle.
Police say the man was pulled over after being clocked at 180 kilometres an hour on Highway 410.
They say the man registered with three times the legal limit of alcohol. Schmidt says the Children’s Aid Society was notified.
