60 firearms seized from a home in St. Catharines

Sixty illegal rifles and shotguns have been seized during a raid in St. Catharines. They were taken from the home of a 71 year old John Emmett.

Niagara police say more than one hundred rifles, ammo and explosives were seized at the same home five years ago. They were supposed to be transferred to a lawful firearm owner who was going to sell them to people with the proper licensing.

Police are now trying to figure out how the firearms got back to John Emmett, who is not legally allowed to have them
