Hamilton reports 72 cases of COVID-19 on Monday
The City of Hamilton is reporting 72 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, a day before the province’s stay-at-home order is lifted and the city moves into red-level restrictions.
The city has recorded 9,817 cases of COVID-19. 92 per cent of them are resolved.
There are 320 active cases of the virus in Hamilton. The death toll remained steady at 276 people.
The latest outbreaks declared in the city were on Friday.
One was at the Good Shepherd Shelter, being housed at the former Cathedral Boys high school with one resident case.
An outbreak has also been declared at the Domino’s Pizza at 1171 Upper James St. with three staff cases.

The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board says a student at South Meadow Elementary School has tested positive for the virus.

The District School Board of Niagara is reporting one case of COVID-19 at Prince Philip French Immersion Public School. Students and staff who have had close contact with the individual have been ordered to self-isolate.

- 1,393 total cases — up three from Sunday
- 1,369 resolved cases
- 12 active cases
- 12 deaths
