Police say argument over woman led to stabbing in Hamilton alleyway

Police have charged a Hamilton man after an argument led to a stabbing Tuesday night.

It happened in an alleyway just off Clinton St. in Hamilton shortly after 8 p.m.

Police say two men were arguing over a woman they both had been romantically involved with.

They say a 55-year-old man stabbed a 58-year-old man in the leg. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The alleged attacker was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, breach of probation, and utter threats. He was also treated in hospital for minor cuts.

Police say the woman was not present during the altercation.
