Two teens arrested in armed robberies in Georgetown

Halton police have made two arrests in connection with two armed robberies in Georgetown.

The first incident happened on Dec. 27, 2019, at a Tim Hortons on Mountainview Rd. The second was at a Domino’s Pizza on Guelph St. on Jan. 9.

Police say a black handgun was used in both robberies.

A 19-year-old man from Georgetown was arrested last Wednesday and has been charged with two counts each of robbery, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and one count of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

A 15-year-old boy from Georgetown was also arrested in connection with the Domino’s robbery.

He has been charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and public mischief.
