Man suffers life-threatening injuries in St. Catharines stabbing

A man was rushed to hospital Wednesday night following a stabbing in St. Catharines.

Police were called to a home in the area of Shakespeare Ave. and Cayuga St. around 7:40 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they found an injured man. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries before being transported to an out-of-town hospital via air ambulance.

The attacker fled before police arrived on scene.

Detectives are currently investigating the incident and trying to track down the suspect.
