Hamilton, Burlington housing prices surge in June: report

A new report from the Realtors Association of Hamilton and Burlington says that housing prices in the area hit a yearly high in June.

According to the report, this is the fourth consecutive month that a surge occurred, leading to an average of $831 thousand being reached in June.

The association says that despite declines in sales being seen over the past months, sales have still risen 19 per-cent over the past year.

Realtor Justine Woolcott tells CHCH News that she has seen an increase in buyer confidence since the beginning of the year.

As prices continue to climb, they have yet to hit the all-time highs recorded in 2022.
