Around 10 p.m. on Friday, the OPP tried to stop a white Dodge Journey van where Castro was suspected to have been the passenger.
Police had reason to believe that Castro may be in the company of Danielle Nettos, 27, of Thorold.
Police say Nettos’ three children (ages 10, seven and three) were also believed to be in the rear seats of the van.
The van did not stop and the involved OPP officers did not engage in a pursuit.
At 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nettos was located at her home in Thorold and was charged with take motor vehicle without consent.
