Halton police have arrested and charged two people after a month-long drug trafficking investigation in Burlington.
Police say they observed the suspect conducting drug transactions during the course of the investigation.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect and a female passenger in the area of Brant and Prospect streets in Burlington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Following the traffic stop, police executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Queensway Dr. and Guelph Line.

As a result of the investigation, police seized over $28,000 worth of drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and $5,700 in cash.

Investigators say McNerney and Morwood were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
