Man arrested after fail to remain investigation in Niagara Falls, firearm seized

Niagara police have arrested a man after a fail to remain investigation.
On July 31, at around 3:01 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle collision in Niagara Falls.
Police say they found a the driver of a white BWM with minor injuries. He was treated on scene. Initial investigation determined that the white BMW has been stopped for a traffic signal at the intersection of Lundy’s Lane at Kalar Road when it was suddenly rear ended by a silver Mercedes.
The Mercedes drove around the BMW and struck a stone wall before coming to a stop. The man driving and two women were seen running from the car.
Police say officers searched the area with assistance of the K9 Unit. At 3:30 a.m., officers located and arrested the driver as he ran from a Pitton Road backyard. Officers found a loaded black Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol hidden under his sweater.
Allan Kenroy Mason, 29, of Hannon, has been arrested and charged with multiple offences including failing to stop at the scene of an accident and possession of a prohibited firearm among others.
