Fire crews responded to a home fire in Burlington Thursday night that resulted in no injuries and $250,000 worth of damages.
Firefighters were called to the scene at around 11 p.m. to the area of Twiss Road, near Derry and Conservation roads.
Crews say 27 personnel and eight emergency vehicles responded to the scene, where three occupants were inside the home.
Upon arrival, fire crews saw smoke. They were on scene for four hours and identified the bathroom as where the blaze started.
Firefighters say the suspected cause of the fire was electrical failure.
Crews remind residents to avoid overloading a circuit with “octopus outlets”. If additional outlets or circuits are needed, it is recommended to have them installed by a licensed electrician.
