The Ontario Lotto And Gaming Corporation (OLG) says Friday marks a historic Lotto Max draw, with a record-breaking $90 million jackpot up for grabs.
OLG says this could result in the biggest lottery win in Canadian history.
The lottery organization says 18 Maxmillions prizes each worth $1 million and 90 Maxplus prizes each worth $100,000 can also be won.
“You have a chance to win $90 million or $1 million prizes or these $100,000 prizes,” says Tony Bitoni, OLG spokesperson.
“So in addition to a $90 million jackpot that’s a record, in total of these top prizes available, we’re looking at about $117 million.”

OLG recommends that people check their tickets right away although they have up to a year to claim their prize.
For those who bought their tickets online, it will already be registered. People can also check their app or go in person.
“If you won a prize that’s more than $5,000, the bells and whistles will still go off but there is a little bit of a twist, the terminal will freeze and that terminal will contact OLG and we will call the store right away and talk to the retailer and talk to you about what the next steps will be,” Bitoni says.
The draw is set to take place shortly after 10:30 p.m.
