OPP recover 17 stolen vehicles in Hagersville bust, charge two suspects

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recovered 17 stolen vehicles and charged two suspects in connection to a stolen property investigation in Hagersville.

Last Tuesday, members of the Haldimand County OPP executed a search warrant in relation to a report of stolen property at an address on Haldimand Road 20.

Officers say as a result of the warrant execution, among the 17 recovered stolen vehicles were high-end Alfa Romeo, Audi and Jeep models. 

Investigators estimate the value of the recovered property is around $375,000.

Detectives say Treena Carter, 56, of Haldimand County, has been charged with several offences including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Hamdan Mirza, 32, of Ancaster, is also facing several charges including 11 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and altering, destroying and removing a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Both of the accused were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga. The investigation remains ongoing.
