PWHL Hamilton announces inaugural home opener

PWHL Hamilton will make its historic debut at TD Coliseum on Dec. 13 at 2 p.m., hosting the Ottawa Charge for its inaugural home opener. 

As part of the PWHL’s opening weekend that features all 12 teams in action, PWHL Hamilton will make its official debut on the road on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. against the reigning Walter Cup champion Montréal Victoire at Place Bell. 

The game also makes history as the first women’s hockey game to be featured on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada, which is returning for its 90th consecutive season.

The team will also travel across the QEW to compete in the home opener hosted by the Toronto Sceptres.

They will launch a neighbouring rivalry at Coca-Cola Coliseum on Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.

The complete regular-season schedule will be announced on Friday.

Tickets are on sale at 11 a.m. through Ticketmaster for the PWHL Hamilton home opener and can be purchased online.
