Ballot-on-demand project engages students in elections

Youth voter turnout remains a challenge in Canada. As universities are looking for ways to make voting more accessible, McMaster is bringing a new ballot-on-demand project to campus, allowing students and local residents to vote in the municipal election.

Karen Bird, professor of Political Science at McMaster University, and Mariam Saleem, president of the McMaster Students’ Union, talked about engaging young voters and making it easier to cast a ballot.
