Everything you need to know about Halton Hills’ 2026 municipal election

Halton Hills residents will go to the polls to cast their votes for the town’s next mayor and other municipal officials on Oct. 26, 2026.

Online advance voting in Halton Hills will take place between Oct. 9 and Oct. 24.

The deadline to submit or withdraw nominations was Aug. 21 at 2 p.m.

Candidates are listed alphabetically by last name alongside a brief bio. This page will be updated regularly as the race develops, and individual ward candidate lists will follow the same format.

Halton Hills’ mayoral race

• Ivan Bosnjak comes from a career in the Ontario construction industry. He was also a small business owner before spending 13 years in provincial labour relations. Bosnjak says his professional experience will help achieve his goals as mayor. His platform focuses on housing, mobility, budgets, the environment and more.
• Jason Brass has been the Ward 2 councillor since 2022. His mayoral platform focuses on balanced growth and planning, fiscal responsibility, community safety, heritage and green spaces and more.
• Ann Lawlor (incumbent) has been the Mayor of Halton Hills since being elected in 2022. Her platform leans on her past success as mayor, focusing on respecting your tax dollars, responsible growth, small town living and more.
