Two people hospitalized after collision on Hwy. 58A in Welland, lanes closed

Two people are in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 58A in Welland Monday morning that has closed lanes.

The crash happened at around 4:45 a.m. between Canal Bank Street and Rusholme Road.

Police have closed the westbound lanes of the highway at Rusholme Road to investigate.

Ontario Provincial Police say motorists should avoid the area and use alternate routes as the closure is expected to be lengthy.
